- The main value of the MSVC subscription is that you get access to incremental
- releases of both the MFC library nad the compiler. Changes to the compiler
- and IDE are generally extremely minor. However, there can often be very useful
- additions to the library in these incremental releases. For example, MFC 4.1
- and 4.2 include a number of new classes for the MS internet development stuff.
- The 4.1 compiler also includes a number of new OLE controls.

- If you are developing commercially, (or writing books ;) ), the subscription
- is a very good idea. If you are just learning windows development and C++,
- your mileage will vary.
